NEUROTHEATRE
Inspired by Mr Mark Wilson, consultant neurosurgeon in London, Neuro theatre is a theatrical lecture in which we follow a patient from injury to recovery. First we are shown by emergency rescue services how to deal with a head injury and then we let neurosurgeons show us how they open a skull and remove blood collecting in the head (extradural haematoma).
Everyone is welcome from kids to medical students!
Competitions and TutorialsNeuroanatomyWe provide Edinburgh University student-exclusive neuroanatomy tutorials in preparation for the prestigious National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition (NUNC) annually hosted by the University of Southampton.

Chiamaka Bianca OfforbuikeI am Chiamaka Bianca Offorbuike, a 5th year medical student of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. I hail from the Igbo tribe in Eastern Nigeria and grew up in Onitsha, a commerce-driven city in the heart of Anambra state. I am interested in Neurosurgery because I am intrigued by how the brain functions. The expertise and resilience demonstrated by neurosurgeons resonates deeply with my core values of excellence and perseverance. I hope to create a liaison for medical students in Nigeria with similar interests, extending the frontiers of the Society and its impact to Africa.
