Harin Wijayathunga  Conference Chair

Hi folks, I’m Harin and I’m a fourth year Medical student from Leeds. Alongside the clinic, I have an extremely keen eye on research, particularly pertaining to memory and the cognitive processes at work during sleep. Having completed my intercalated neurosciences dissertation at the Morris Lab, I’ve been lucky enough to observe the academic process in all its glory. I’m very excited to join the conference team and put together an event that is stimulating to those from a variety of fields, whilst being appropriately accessible regardless of stage of study.

I got really interested in neurology after the year 2 neuroscience module so I attended neurology related events to explore the specialty further. This is where my passion for neuroscience grew tremendously and so I want to organise events for students like myself who might potentially find their passion in neuroscience at EUNS' events too!
